Multiple uses of Knives part 3

29. Cutting cord.

This is the first time in our little rope suite. Ropes are everywhere, from workplaces to homes (and school), and sometimes a rope has to be cut. A knife is by far the best tool. Scissors just do not cut for heavier cables (see what I did there?).

30. Get a knot from a rope.

If there is a knotted piece of rope you do not want to cut, a knife helps make the rope straight again. Just use the sheet to open it enough for you to do the rest. It's as easy as that.

31. Grass rope shot.

You can also make your own rope. A tutorial shows how to make the rope with only your hands and a knife. The knife is used mainly in the cutting of the grass, but the idea is understood.

32. Cut the nails.

Cleaning your nails was already on the list, but you can also use a knife to cut nails. Without nail clippers in sight, a little care (very careful!) That handles the knife will get the nails to a reasonable length. Tip fun: It is easier to clean the nails before cutting them.

33. Zesting citrus.

This was another suggestion from one of our Facebook fans. When you want to add a little extra flavor to your food, zesting a lemon or orange with your knife is the way to go. Once again, there are dedicated zesters, but a pocket knife is just as good.

34. Genital organs.

This is a kind of a weird being, but many people with a knife tend to caress or rub (when it's closed, of course). For some, this is just a whim, but in reality it has benefits. Some, especially those who have difficulty concentrating, pay better attention when restless or holding something in their hands. A knife, which is always in your pocket, is perfect to help you refocus on another task.

35. Trimming of fishing line.

If you are a fisherman (I am not so sorry for the errors in the terminology), there are a whole series of uses for the pocket knife. In some newly tied fishing knots, it is necessary to cut the ends of the tags.

36. Cutting bait.

The pocket knife can also be used to cut pieces of bait into more manageable portions. (Bait yes, we know that the cut can also mean cutting fishing line.) Sometimes, to get certain types of fish, you have to use pieces of bait.
37. Gutting fish.

After having caught the fish, it's time to clean it up a bit. Gutting with a pocket knife is quick and easy.

38. Filete a fish.

Yes, there are fillet knives with flexible blades, but a pocket knife will also work when filleting smaller fish. The boy in the next video uses a pocket knife to clean a flounder. (A fillet knife is used at one point, but a pocket knife can still be used.)

39. Obtaining gum from a carpet.

Moving to different subjects, the pocket knife can also get the rubber from the carpets. Just shave off the piece with the gum and you're at home for free.

40. Throw.

Throwing knives is one of the fastest growing hobbies of all. While you do not want to throw any pocketknife to a target for fun, there are specific knives that can handle that kind of abuse. In fact, DeadBullseye takes a look at some of the best folding knives (which are now common pocket knives).

41. Stop a bullet.

That's right, Deputy John Capriola was shot in the right leg while answering a call on December 23, 2013, except when his partner checked for an injury, there was nothing. The folder in his pants pocket had blocked the impact.

Knives have actually left a number of bullets to kill people. While it is more a matter of luck, sometimes luck requires a little foresight.

42. The opening of a bottle of wine.

The pocket knife also opens the wine bottles. Some knives have real corkscrews, which makes things much easier, but if the knife does not have a dedicated corkscrew, it can still be used to open a bottle.

Here is a video that shows more or less how he does it. Be careful not to fold the sheet.

43. The firewood division.

If you have a durable pocket knife, cutting wood is very feasible. Using a piece of wood for batoning will help you split a piece of wood into two.

Another way to do this is to cut the wood minimally, then use another piece of wood as a wedge to divide the rest of the way.

44. free cut a trapped animal.

This is what Facebook fan Leon Schindler said, "We used mine to cut a Chickadee caught in mist nets when nobody could release it after about 15 minutes of trying. I thought that a noble purpose." Sometimes the deer also get stuck in the barbed wire.

45. Load heavy bags of groceries.

A pocket knife makes a great device to carry those heavy plastic bags without tearing your hand. In fact, some Swiss knives have a special hook (called a package carrier) specially designed for the realization of parcels and grocery stores. However, you can also use an old and simple knife. Just put the bags in the handle and you're good to go.
